About Teresa
Rooted in Experience. Driven by Purpose
I am Teresa Dangwa, CEO of Dangwa Consulting, LLC, author of The Diaspora Pastor, and a passionate advocate for meaningful, effective and dignity-anchored immigrant integration. lifelong student of faith, resilience and cultural survival.
My Journey
Having experienced the harsh realities of human trafficking and the emotional weight of navigating the U.S. job market as a first-generation immigrant, I know firsthand the cost of starting over without support. Despite holding a diploma, a degree, and professional experience from respected institutions in Zimbabwe and the UK, I was undervalued and exploited in my early years in the U.S.—a season that drained me mentally, financially, and emotionally.
The absence of mentorship and intentionally relevant guidance cost me eight precious years in the diaspora. I know what it’s like to be hired—but feel lost. I know what it means to show up professionally while privately unraveling. And I know what a difference it makes when someone walks with you through the chaos.
That’s why I founded Dangwa Consulting—not just to offer services, but to build a bridge I wish had existed when I arrived.
Today, I help both immigrant professionals and the employers who hire them thrive—beyond the job offer. My work is trauma-informed, culturally intelligent, and rooted in lived experience. Through the INTEGRATE™ Framework, I provide coaching, training, and consulting that sees the whole person: their grief, their goals, their resilience, and their right to belong.
If you’re looking for someone who brings wisdom, compassion, and strategy into every room—I’d be honored to walk the road with you.
“Our community is only as strong as the latest immigrant.”
